As part of the Corpus Scriptorum Cataloniae series, the Corpus Biblicum Catalanicum will include a critical edition of all known Catalan translations of the Bible or texts directly related to it, published or unpublished, from the thirteenth century until the year 1900.

Hebrew translations of the New Testament based on Catalan versions will also be published, along with their corresponding translations into modern Catalan.

The collection will be made up of more than forty volumes consisting of between 300 to 640 pages, 17×24 cm in size, and will be ‘bound in boards’. The publication of two volumes per year is expected.

The first volume, entitled Bíblia del segle XIV: Èxode. Levític, was published in 2004, this being Volume 3 in the series. See the section Published volumes and volumes in preparation for details concerning other volumes.

The Corpus Biblicum Catalanicum is a project of the Associació Bíblica de Catalunya (Bible Association of Catalonia). The volumes are published in collaboration with Publicacions de l’Abadia de Montserrat.
